Give that flight crew a raise

What a nice job they did.

Of course, if Jet Blue flew Boeing aircraft, it would have made the flight to it's destination and been a non news story

Seen it, the pilot did an excellent job, set the nose down so very gently. WOW!

Funny thing is, the passengers were watching live news casts of the ordeal while still in the air.

How wild is that!

The news(channel 4 in L.A.) reported that the captain disabled the in seat TVs during landing so the passengers wouldn't freak and start a panic.

That would be very strange to be in the aircraft you're watching on TV as its sparking/on fire during landing

Picture perfect landing job!

I figured he'd turn off the TVs so the passengers wouldn't freak out.

Ask JW if it's going to be a hard job replacing the gear.
And if I was in the air for 2+ hours watching myself run out of gas there wouldn't be any BOOZE left on the plane!

It's reported that 18 passengers lost their virginity while circling the runway..

2 guys, 15 girls, and 1 parrot.

That was a fine piece of flying.....

25 yrs ago, my dad had to do a similar landing in our Aero Commander...thought the right main gear wasn't locked...My mom, myself and my little bro were in the plane too.....Creepy feeling not knowing if that gear is gonna hold:O
