import slicks on a busa?

i know the tire profile would make turning kinda not possible, but would a slick meant for a car, in say a 205/50/zr17 fit on a busa rim? if you trailer your bike to the track, switch rims, whatever. would you end up with a larger/more usable contact patch than say a shinko hook up in a 190/50/17? my thoughts were the flat profile would give a larger contact patch, so more hook, right? i'm probably wrong, but i'm hoping someone will tell me why.

Larger patch yea but way over kill for a bike unless you are putting out over 400hp and even then not needed. Problem also the tire is probably very heavy compared to a motorcycle slick.

Are you really having issues with traction?

the new Shinko works great and will last forever.

An M/T slick will work great and last forever.

I would thing due to the size of the rim, you would not get the contact patch you are looking for, due to the small,stiff sidewalls of the import slick.

I'm not having traction issues, I was just curious. I figured there had to be a reason that no one has done it
