Impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump

The best value the American people could ever hope to reap from these idiots was if they were given shovels and told to go plant trees for the day. Guarantee that not a single one of them have ever put in an honest days work in their lives....

If you have family in Nuertingen you must know tuebingen? Thats my hometown...
You nailed it with your explanation above!

Hard to say what went wrong.
I dont think much went "wrong". In all university cities (my hometown is one of the biggest) we have ALOT of students. They cant afford cars.(mostly because the housing and cost of living is very high.) BUT the infrastructure of our public transit is so good that you actually dont need a car in a city.
Besides the students - In germany the car is still a status symbol. More than anything else. You NEED to have a car... after that comes a house or own condo.
I dont know anyone in my family (and I have a big family) who does not own a car.

On top of all that - the south of germany is very "green and social" by political standarts. People have a fancy car but still drive to work with the bike.(it looks good - but still drive the fancy porsche or mercedes on the weekends). Also germans are much more health oriented than north americans. I think that explains your question a bit!
In the mid 90’s, walking into a nice department store compared to Harrods in London. It was prestigious, today it appears worse than Walmart.

I don’t care if he’s racist because he’s not in my life.
Do a good job running the country and I’m good.

I don't doubt that during his 60+ years before becoming President as a very public figure that someone accused him of being racist. I just don't think he is...

I (and I think most people like me) define a racist as someone who has a racist mentality in their heart and/or someone who facilitates racism. As one of the people who will be disadvantaged by racist actions, I don't really care if the person was sincerely a racist or just taking advantage of the opportunity to push you down to climb on top. As far as I'm concerned same damage, same lack of integrity.

Donald Trump has proven himself to be racist. The fact that you can point to a few statistics being up means nothing when the man openly embraces white supremacists. So we have Trump saying here's some jobs but I'm still trying to put you back in a cage (you know the 50's, when merica was great), or the Dems saying we'll do the best we can but we will never let your rights and opportunities be taken away. Pretty easy choice for me and most blacks.

Yep all the big cities run by democrats are doing great! Anyways we disagree and I am done with this thread after this. It seems that people cannot have a civil discussion about politics since the resistance movement started which Obama is part of.

Like I said in the past I voted for him the first time and regretted it by 2012 after I saw all the racial division he created, along with anti police, military policies. All the sudden colleges needed segregation and safe spaces. We will just see how it plays out in 2020. One thing is sure socialism will take us all down no matter what color we are.

Obama had a great opportunity to bring us together and did just the oppisite.

Name one thing Obama did to separate us other than being black, smart, and a great role model? If people get their panties in a bunch because a black man is elected president is that Obama's fault?

Compelling rant by West. I listened to every word. He agrees whole heartedly with Trump's policies. I think a lot of us do too.
However, his speech or presence in the oval office has nothing to do with whether Trump is racist.
If you noticed, one of the reporters basically asked that very thing, and West skirted the issue and, I thought rightly so, went right back to current fiscal issues.

I was obviously being sarcastic! ;)

Thank God! I thought you were serious too. West is not a spokesman for anything, the guy prides himself on starting chit! Besides he already recanted on the Trump support, says he has sworn off politics completely.

Anyway gentleman I'm out. I think the future has already been baked in and it's not pretty. It's a shame we have to go through this again but it is what it is.

Arch, last time I will mention this, because you are very fixed in your way of thinking.
To me racism means simply looking at people differently when their origins originated from different geographical regions. Someone who is not racist looks at people for who they are and what values they have, irrespective of where their DNA originated thousands of years ago.
So, in my book and to my values anyone who distinguishes people by their colors is racist and anyone who refers to “whites”, “blacks” and “colored” in written or spoken language has a degree of racism, however minor it may be.
