Had the bike from new (2000 model) and has done 50,000 miles, and this is the third time the coil has gone on the same cylinder........Please Help...
Thanks.

What do you mean? Is it heat damage? Or just an electrical failure? You change the plugs? What about the wiring to that coil any mods/damage?

Does the bike sit outside in the RAIN...the left side is the most likely one to get wet...and short out

The coil splits and shorts out. last time it happened the fI came on and the bike died altogether. Found it had blown the fuse. used to ride the bike through the winter but not this time and it hasnt been in the rain much... No mods and the wiring looks good. hope this helps.

Check the voltage at the input of the coil that is blowing against the other ones.

Which fuse blew when the bike totally died? Was it the ECU fuse?

Cannot remember which fuse blew as it was early last year.
Do you check the voltage with the engine being turned over or with the engine running? not too hot on electrics sorry to say.
Thanks for the feed back.
