Don't know about the jacket, but most textiles are only "water resistant".

I carry a set of Frog Togs in my hump, TOTALLY waterproof and weigh about as much as a big potato chip. Bass Pro carries them at a great price, $39.95- I paid $50 at a dealership and saw them at another place for $75.

Bass Pro

Up North where you are, you may want to look for insulated waterproof gear for day-to-day riding, Tourmaster makes a good bit of touring all-weather stuff- not sexy but practical mostly.

I have the Icon Merc Leather, I love it. The liner that comes witht he jacket makes a big difference when its in. But I tend to waer a sweater or thick shirt so the liner is just keeps in the hump. I have go on rides where it rained with no problem.

Good morning,
Thanks for the feedback & welcome, appreciatted.

I bought a black Belstaff Atlas couple days back. Awesome 60% sales on local dealers here.  Walked into shop and saw coat, really impressed with quality. For many years owned Belstaff Trialmaster (beeswaxed cotton)... loved it, just got better with age, but alas, I got a tad bigger & it went to a new owner. Atlas came out few years back, but still lots new technology, very comfy, serious riding jacket. Guess will have to give it a season or two for true opinion.

Have to admit, stilll like look of my re-tiring ole' Arlen Ness style leather jacket
