Ice Alaska

Went to Fairbanks, AK over the weekend for a little get away. Went swimming in some natural hot springs. The outside temp was 13f but the water temp was easily a 100f.

I then went to view the ice sculptures from icealaska.com and they were amazing! I took some bracketed photos but they do not do the sculptures justice.

Here are my two favorites:

This one was first place in the multi-block division

I lived in Fairbanks for 6 years. If I were rich I would have a summer home up there in no time. Alaska truly is amazing, thanks for sharing some of the pictures you took.

My sons were in Fairbanks in January...they love it there!

I saw a show recently about those ice sculptures...truly amazing to see, I'm sure

Amazing! I have been on a few cruises and they do some of that on the ships. Of course its not that good nut it is fun to watch them start with a block of ice and end up with a Dolphin or something. Thanks for sharing :thumbsup:
