I need advice on Fletcher,NC

Iam looking to relocate to the Southeast for work. I have been looking at a few places in Hickory,NC and Ashville,NC. I have found a great house in Fletcher,NC out side of Ashville. Great house acrage 2 shops and a stones through from the Blue Ridge parkway/Deals Gap. I would Appreciate any feed back between Fletcher and Hickory schools, crime, ect. thanks

I lived in Hickory for two and a half years from 1989-91. I lived on the Northwest side of town. Very nice neighborhood. My son attended Jenkins School for Kindergarten and fisrt grade. It was an excellent school.

Grew up in Hickory, haven't been there in about 30 years. It was a very nice place back then and the schools were good. College and Technical College located there as well.
