Guys, my chain is shot, I believe it was a 10,000 lb tensile strength chain. Though, not anymore. How long do chains last? Next question, what chain should I go with. I was told to get the EK Triple ZZZ, said it's the best, though I also found this chain, here are the links to both. The other chain is a 11,500 lb tensile strength chain, the ZZZ is only 11,000, help me out guys!

I think the main advantage the DRZ2 is going to have over X-Ring (ZZZ) is less HP loss in the chain. Typically a sealed chain will last longer than an open link chain.

GPW was also working with some Sidewinder products with even higher tensile ratings.

Tensile rating is not necessarily a measurement of resistant to wear. It is a measurement of resistance to breakage.

So you'll have to ask yourself"¦"¦Is this a race bike or street bike? Are you willing to keep it lubed and put up with some of the additional lubricants that fling off? Is loosing a few HP on the sealed chains ok?

so your saying the the zzz is more work, you have to lubricate it, and the other chain you don't have to?

The ZZZ is a sealed X-ring requiring less maintenance than the DRZ which is not sealed.

I would suggest you also replace the front and rear sprocket with the chain..

Charles will have everything you need to cut and press on your new chain.!

Cody, call Charles at street n track he will line you out. Someone up near you is sure to have a chain tool. If not OMSLAW has one he may be willing to work a loaner program for you, but with your drag racing a tool would be a good investment.
