Great pics! Hard to believe that stuff is still inside the buildings. Can you ride right up to the buildings? I saw tire tracks but no vehicles. Wonder if anyone lives there.

The roads are closed to the public, but park rangers do drive around.

I was wondering that also. Is this a museum sort of place or was the town actually left that way? Why did people leave and when did that happen? Very cool.

The town was left that way, just picked up and left when the mine went bust around the the early 1930's. Now it is a state park to protect it.

Yes we do. But, interestingly enough I would wager the transformers in that room are better than what I can get today.
