Hey guys, we are still working on the search to make it better and better, there is a lot of data to go through. We have to balance the results and the best way to keep them accurate with the load that it puts on the server. I think that we all noticed the response from the members wanting to know where the search was at when we had it offline, that should tell you how often it is used. The numbers that I have come up with so far show that the feature is used about 80,000 times a month, now start doing the math... you computer guys will understand the load that can put on the server along with the normal web interaction and gallery and other things...

Please be patient with us and please let us know your thoughts on what we have put out there so far..

It has worked great so far, thanks Doug for you all the time you spend on making the board a better place.

It seems to put the older stuff first instead of the newer. Didn't see where I could pick to order it by how recent it is or by month/year/beginning.

One step at a time... the other things will be back, the more you put out there the more complicated the queries become. We didnt want to open the Kimono, we can build on a known good state.

I just tried using it today and received an error message. I was searching for a username.
If you're just searching for a username, click on the .oRg Tools tab -> Members.

You can type in a partial member's name and click 'Go'. You'll receive a list of matches.

Then if you want to see all the posts by that member, click on their name to view the Profile. On the right column, toward the bottom click the 'Posts by (username)' link.

I have my flame resistant suit on.

It pulls the query and responds by relevence as the main factor date is second.. When we put the date limitations on it then it will be by relevence within a time frame
