Well I just got done with the install a few days ago. The extended tail (TT-13-EXT Tiger Tail Extended Inner Fender) comes long enough for a +12" tail section. So you must cut the aluminum undertail if you are going with a +6" Airtech tail like I was. Here's my how to install the tail section . https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/busa-mods/177254-how-install-6-airtech-tail-section.html

Anyway Here are some pics on how I did it . I had the section powder coated to match my bike .

Next step is to bolt the section under the battery in the front to the frame. Then Bolt the hump lock on top . MAKE SURE YOU CAN GET TO THE LOCK AT ALL TIMES !! This was mainly because I was doing the tail section and putting the hump on an off ! I just tied a string to the cable .

Now I knew the tail section was going to be long I also knew the undertail was going to be at a downward direction so I drilled the 2 side bolts a little high. Then came the fun part , trying to find out where to cut it. What I did was make a cardboard template. After a few cuts an fitting it in the tail section I was able to see how it would be with the tail light. I made the template so it bumps against the seat hump and 2 bolts on the side. This way when its in the tail section I had a reference point to go by.

After I got to where I felt comfortable with the fit I drew my marks on the undertail. DON'T use a permanent marker ! (its a pain to clean off ).I used a jigsaw and as you can see the fit was very nice . I wanted to leave as much as I could to keep dirt and junk from getting in.

Now arrange your wires so they aren't on the inside of the wheel well. I have a 1397 big bore so I also installed a 24V batter starting system. As You can see the battery fits in front as usual and I used Velcro to hold the ECU and Power commander. Since you lose all of your trunk space I put the second battery in the rear where the tail goes downward. The Automatic 24V system is made by a board and sold by Tiger Racing. If you have a big bore motor I HIGHLY recommend this item!!!

Last but not least Put your tail section. I haven't figured out if I want to trim it under the light or bend it down and attach the plate on. And Wah Lah You are done ! Any questions you can PM me.
