To avoid speeding tickets on your Hayabusa;
1. Twist the throttle back towards yourself until the police officer disappears from your mirrors.
2. Continue judicious use of the throttle until all police officers have either given up the chase or to slow down and take an exit. (It is advisable to take an exit that is not in view of the police officer).
3. Ride safely and live to run another day.
So, in the past 7 years or so I have only pulled over twice. Once I was on my '01 Busa and I was travelling at a high rate of speed along I-70 Eastbound towards Denver CO. They had guns pointed at me and I didn't have much of a choice. When I stopped the helicopter had just gotten overhead. Normally I could care less about a helicopter since I can usually find a nearby airport and they have to cease and desists their pursuit until they can gain air clearance.
Recently I purchased an '02 Busa and as I was casually testing out it's capabilities I unknowingly passed an unmarked police vehicle. Imagine my surprise when I saw red and blues behind me where a sedan had just been. I pulled over, like an idiot and got hit with an almost $500 ticket for "100mph+" and "unsafe lane change". I'm pretty pissed off! I don't care what that officer says, I know that I used my signal. I always signal!
Thoughts anyone?
Am I the only one that believes that a Hayabusa was made to operate outside the realm of the Law?
Or am I just the only one that freely admits it in a public forum?
Do you pull over?
Sidenote; I used to really get off by coming up along side of them and flipping them a finger before rolling on the throttle.
