Here's the problem, or maybe it's not a problem:
1. I put my bike in first gear. The engine is off. The bike is stopped.
2. I push the bike forward until it stops. I then pull it backwards until it stops. The bike moves about 4 inches from stop to stop.
3. The chain is adjusted correctly. The cushion drive in the rear wheel looks OK.
Is this a normal amount of free play? When I push it as far forward as it will go in gear to as far backward as it can go in gear, the chain is moving about 3/4 of an inch because of output shaft free play. Is this normal? How much free play do you have on your Busa?
