How many of you?

you have nothin to lose , if you fail renew the permit you still ridin , like i said mothin to lose ! you will pass , piece of cake !

I think using any thing over 250cc's for the MN test & passing, is an accomplishment...land of the liberals / 10,000+ lakes, and one heck of a DMV Motorcycle test. Rumor here is if your board you do 1 of 2 things. Go to Wallmart to watch the freak-show, or go to the DMV to watch new bikes get laid down, bent up and riders practicing their best rendition of Superman while taking the Motorcycle road test (which is conducted in a space about the size of an average size living-room).

Tell 'em you might not make the U-turn very well, but take a look at yer 1/4 times

Hit the money on that one....

i did....made a perfect score according to the hoser that tested me....he took me through a neighborhood, out to a busy street for a few lane changes and back to the office - total time of prolly 5 minutes.....no problems whatsoever!
In Va. you have to do the test on a closed course. Would be great if it was riding on actual streets! But its not..
Same deal in Fl. They do have the courses marked out with road paint, you can practice any time you like, just have to bring your own cones, plastic cups, or whatever will suffice.
Yea, same in Colorado I think. When we were in VA, the DMV in Woodbridge has the course painted on the asphault in the back and several cones sitting in the grass. We set them up and had Rita try the test. She had problems with the swerving. She says it's the same layout here in CO.

I got my license almost 30 years ago in Maryland and on a Yamaha 250 street bike. There was some stopping and swerving in the parking lot and a quick ride up and down the block, making sure you can stop.

I missed at least one written question; which hand uses the clutch

damn... I got the busa cause it longer and heavy...couldn't imagine taking the test on it....I took mine 15 years ago on an EX500 like bike.

I hadn't driven a bike in over 8 yrs and with only 3mths driving on my temps I passed the test on my lowered 01 Busa tagging only one cone.

Good luck Scott !

did mine in VA before they got a clue..

figure 8... "How small? "

"Just where ever you wanna do it"

haha.. we were in a big parking lot... like 40 car spaces and she said I could use th whole thing if I needed to... haha what a joke.. a one armed gold wing rider coulda done it.

oh.. and I had to ride around the block... where she couldnt' even see me..

11 years ago now I guess.

In florida..back in '74...I aquired my "restricted" DL at age 15....rules were...daylight only and...you had to have a Licensed Driver with you...if you were driving a cage...but you weren't required to have a licensed passenger if you were riding a motorcycle...and your motorcycle privilags were "grandfathered in"....hence I was buzzing all over town at age 15 on my Kawasaki KE100 which had doubled as my dirt bike while at age 14...was a real fight with myself to keep the lights on the bike but worth it for my asphault freedoms.
biggrin.gif

I left florida in '77 to become a U.S. Marine...then moved back to relatives in N.J. after being discharged...but when I returned to florida in '85?....and since I had a DL from N.J.?....guess who had to take the freaking motorcycle test as I forfieted my grandfathered in license by aqquiring a license from another state...and...had to take both the written and practicle test to get my "M" designation back.

In '85 the practicle test was extremely difficult....and it didn't help that our group had a female test instructor who was rather unfriendly and she set the cones tight...real tight...the "left hand turn" was like trying to do a 90deg turn in a hallway of a house...I was on a '81 Honda 750 Four SS....a guy I became immediate friends with was on a Kaw H2....and HE razzed he11 out of the instructor for setting the cones tight...then we watched as the first three of about 12 of us dumped their bikes in that left hand turn...one was a brand new full dress harley...up next was my new found and mouthy Kaw bud
laugh.gif
and when he got to that left turn?...he popped a little wheely and threw the front end over to make it!!!
laugh.gif

The instructor biotch raised cane with him for doing so and told him if she saw any of his wheels leave the ground again that she'd fail him....he asked her...

"What do you want me to do?...throw my bike down like the first three did?....I'm fixing to just go home and REPORT YOU for being an ignorant biotch...we told you the cones are set waaaay to tight!!!"
mad.gif

and guess who moved the cones out a tad.
laugh.gif

I actually felt sorry for the old dude on the HD though...it was brand new and this gal caused him to scar up his shiney black hard saddlebags real bad....everyone felt bad for him.

Moral to the story?...never take the florida test on your own big bore...borrow or rent a ninja 250 from somebody...then again?...that was 20 years ago...back when florida first started mandating that motorcyclists take a test at all...I'm certain things must of changed cause from what I saw and experienced?....they needed to!!!
