How many links should I go on this setup ?

Putting the sled down for a week or 2 . She has 16500miles on her in a year and a half so I think it's time . I am doing a 17/45 sprocket setup . Should I stay with the factory 530 pitch ? Also how many links on the chain as I am leaving it stock length ?

I have always slid the tire/ rim as far forward as it will go run the chain through the sprockets and cut the chain to length

Definately a 530!
Gen1 is 112 links stock, gen2 is 114 stock.
17/45 will work with either stock length chain.
If you want, you may/may not be able to cut a link out(actually 2) to slide the wheel all the way forward.
