When I was still driving limo's for the rich and famous here in the L.A. area, I averaged 80-100 hrs a week.
During Oscar week...FORGET IT! I maybe got 6 hrs sleep the whole week! It was insane.
At one point I was training a racehorse (4:30 wakeup, get the horse, load him in the trailer, be at the track and ready to gallop at 6am, train him, bathe him, load him back up and take him back to the stables, do leg work, feed him - 7:30)
Then I had school mon/wed so on those days I would hit the classes from 8am to noon, then hop in the car (usually wore my suit to school on those days as I drove the limo to college) and went to work, on the days where I didn't have school I would go from the truck and trailer and horse$hit, to a shower and then the limo. Usually got off work anywhere from 10pm at the earliest to 2 am or later if there was a show (or if the jerk dispatcher was working). If I didn't have to train the horse or go to school, then I started work at 4-5am.
If my horse was running that night, then I would usually go to work till about 3pm, rush home, get the horse and head to the track (had to be there by 4pm for Lasix and check in) Then George and I would get our stall situated and take a nap until they called us for our race. That was the most sleep I got at one time back then!
But for some reason I loved it. Must have been the joy of running my horse that got me through putting up wth hours like that!
