How do you remove the fuel basket from the fuel pump??????

I have removed the fuel pump and found it to be a sealed unit. I don't know if it can be removed without destroying the pump assembly

My bike won't rev past 8k and been told it might be the filter restricted, if not the pump. I pulled the pump out and it seems to me to be a sealed unit???? Does anyone know if it can be separated so i can replace the filter???? or if there is a filter within????

Theres a thread here about drilling a hole and adding an inline filter,...deffinately sounds like a clogged fuel filter,i had the same problem and bought a new filter for $290...the black sealed piece is the filter
