I want to get my screens off, and I don't want to damage them.
They are tripple plated chrome, I'm hopping to find a new home for them and some money back in my pocket.

I used the 5 minute epoxy and spot glued them in place.

Is there anyway to un epoxy.

Thanks

I'd be wary of using any heat or chemicals. I think I would start with an exacto knife or trim knife. If its too hard for that I use a 90 degree die grinder with a Roloc 40 grit pad on it to good effect in tight quarters.

there's nothing chemically you can do that won't also dissolve the fairing itself.

a steady hand / patience / and a dremmel ....

, this is the first time I've heard of someone, much less 2 people, wanting to take their screens off. Especially since they look like a Major Deal to put on. Is it looks or something else you guys don't like

. That answer might save me lots of time and effort in the future

I want to paint mine and I'd prefer to take them off opposed to using painters tape and all that.

But, I may be opting for the painters tape to avoid the dremel and then epoxy them back on.

I want to get mine off of some damaged plastics, the screens are fine and were $98.00
I thought they were to bright, and now that I have new plastic I am changing to a gloss black.

Thanks for the help guys, I got them off.

And for anyone that needs to do the same this is how I did it.

First I wiggled and pushed and where the epoxy didn't have a good hold it let go.

Next I used a flat head screwdriver and lifted under the screens a little bit at a time, and some more to let go.

Where I had heaver epoxy I used the grinder on my dremmel to remove the epoxy and then used the screwdriver again to pop out the rest.

Where I had had lifted the screens a bit I made sure to use the butt of the screwdriver to tap them back down while they were still in place so they would still have there form when they get reinstalled.
