I use the Joe Rocket "Ballistic" (red/wht/blk). no pics of it though. Works well. In traffic gets a little warm.

I have a Bates Leathers mesh jacket. Has a zip out liner and with the liner out, air flows through it like it isn't even there! Great for hot days!

think i am going to go with this jacket

Joe Rocket Pheonix 4.0

I need one for next summer. I sweated (is that even a word?) my arse off this summer in a heavy jacket.

I've got several options: AGV textile,Kobe perferated, and one of those Armour vest type things.

well, looks like i might have to put the jacket on hold ...............

2 weeks ago, i was having lower back and leg pains. i went for an MRI this past monday, and i received word from my doctor today, that i have a herniated disc at L5 & S1. a guy here at work told me he had the same one a while back, and his only fix was surgery. so depending on what the back specialist tells me next week, i may not be riding for some time.

I use a joe Rocket "half and half". It's absolutley fantastic warm jacket. Like the black 4.0 pheonix above but with full leather sleeves, shoulders, and collar. This jackets leather is all perforated also to allow for cool air, much like a golf glove. It comes with full armor and removable back pading.
It's the right mix of comfort and protection and it matches my other gear. The bad news is I no longer see it for sale on the joe rocket site.

When your back heals you may have to try some custom shops that have extra kidney belts and back supports, etc.

I gots me one of those... as does GJoker. Do the PT thing.. make the pain lessen. You won't ever be rid of it, but if you know how to make it less, you will be one up.

I ride the bike for therapy. The leaning side to side seems to stretch out the muscles (less cramping).

And we have lots of drugs to assist things along.

Good luck to you... just do what the docs say.
