I dunno, last time I found a wallet it had $8 in it.
So, I took his $8 and I stuffed a couple of twenties in it, and left it at the library. (Found His Library card in his wallet and I was close) The Librarian called the guy and he said he was on his way.
I just wish I had some video of him racking open his wallet and finding $40 instead of $8...

I found a guys wallet once in hes back pocket, the damn thing only had $3 in it so I thought I would do him a favor and give him $20 cause he was really f'n broke. I didnt have any cash on me so I walked to the ATM so I could hook him up. Well wouldnt you know it while I was trying to get the cash out the Police came and arrested me for theft! Now what kinda crap is that? You just cant be nice or do a good deed these days. I tried to tell them what I was up 2 but they just didnt believe me. Go figure.
I found a wallet full of cash on a bus once that was full of cash. I turned it in to the bus driver because I thought it was a trap. I called the bus company to make sure he turned it in with cash, but the only person I could speak with said he must have turned it in, but had no way of checking.
I've been behind people in stores who dropped $240, $50, and $100 bills without noticing it, but I always told them about it. No rewards yet.

My wife and I have found money twice but both timesthere was ID so we returned them . Once was a wallet next to the back of the grocery store ( we were getting some boxes ) money, credit cards , and his ID . He was a frito delivery driver . We called him and met him down the road , He gave us enough chips and dip for a party. another time we were driving down the main road here at night and I thought I saw some money in the road . So I pulled over and we found about $80 and then in the road was a run over purse , There was a signed blank check in it and a college ID. So we called her , it seems she was going to a party and put her purse on the roof of her car . No reward but thats cool You don't do it for that reason .
I'll tell you though, If I ever find a bag of 100s, all bundled up nice? THAT IS NOT going to be some lil ole' ladies life savings...
Nope, I'm burying half that in my backyard and donating the other half to various charities. Figure I'll be able to sleep just fine with some Drug Dealers, or similar idiots money doing good for me and others.

My wife and I were stationed in Puerto Rico a few years back (2001), and when we went to the shipping area to pick up our car there was a green little ford escort station wagon in the parking lot with the back open and about a 2 foot high pile of twenties in there. Must have been thousands and thousands of dollars. That dock however is in about the most crime ridden area in all of PR and that is saying something. My wife and I just closed the back flip up and got the hejj out of there as quick as we could. I have often thought about that car and what if we just loaded all those into our trunk? It was most likely something not legal going on, around that time about 30% of the police force down there was imprisoned for trafficing drugs out of their squad cars. But hey, our karma is intact.
BAH, Build an Orphanage, set up a Scholarship Fund, and BAM. Karma is happy, your conscience is clear.
Besides, it was probably CIA money anyway. Only the US Government would leave huge stacks of $20s unsupervised.
