Hit The Track This Weekend

Hey guys,
I finally got out to the track this weekend. We had really good weather, but the prep was sup bar unfortunately. The cars loved it. It's not a personal best but only .03s away from it. My personal best et is 7.57. Darn close. Out of 7 passes only 2 hooked. The other pass was a 7.63.

Dayum? A 7 second quarter is great! I remember when Don Garlits made his first sub 8 second quarter and that was in a top fuel dragster.

Maxed out at 23psi of boost. Pro Street Hayabusa.

I'm too embarrassed to say. Too much. Everything was new, never used parts. A spare fully built motor as well. It's got far more potential than what I'm pushing it to. Need tracks like the US.

Holy $hit balls, you don't mess around! If you put some lights and plates on that and just pull up next to some stock Busa's at some random stop light, I bet some people would $hit themselves on the spot.

Definitely north of 50k. If a guy was able to fab stuff up, and not have an issue with used parts, then it can be quite a bit cheaper. I also built it myself, so no shop fees. I couldn't even imagine the price to have a shop do it for me.

Oh and since you're "ColdBusa", my door here in Florida is always open so you can be "WarmBusa"...there are tracks here too and a garage with tools.

Hi. The busa I an building will be more than $100,000.00 US . It is for LSR racing and it will be one of my bikes for the street. I should make 900 to 1000 HP.

You bet. The track wouldn't take more than 4.5psi on the line, so we had to work with it.

Nice! As noted the 60' improvement would help a lot. Good luck finding a sticky track. There is a shortage of traction compound this year. My track is doing some events no-prep as a result.

You ever think of putting a flat slick on it? Or are you doing a class that doesn't allow it?
