Highway gas mileage

I have an average of 20 km/liters
that is 47 miles/gal
was fighting the wind the whle time
lots of hills in the adirondacks
average speed 75 mph
peaks at 155 mph

48 mpg on Rt.80 doing 65 - 70 in 6th.

My busa computer has never shown above 31 - but I've never averaged 75 on the hwy either

Still haven't got better than 38 MPG. I still have less than 900 miles so I'm hoping it will get better as it breaks in. I'd be able to ride it if it would ever stop raining in Chicago.

used to get about 35 to 38 with dual hmf high mounts and 17/42 gears usually run around the 80 to 90 mph mark sometimes blast sometimes no

now with the 1363 boar and 16/42 i'm in the 25 to 28 range on my last trip i really hope a full tune helps playing with the commander a bit now to see what i can get if it don't get at least in the 30's i'm gona head back to the 17 up front at least

Mine is stock except for Yoshimura bolt-ons and regularly delivers 47 MPG while cruising at 70-75 MPH. The day I bought it, I rode it 206 miles home from the selling dealer, mostly on two-lane roads through the hills of Pennsylvania and averaged 44 MPG.

I think the secret to good fuel economy is located in your right hand.

i was getting about 38 - 42 stock

Now i am reading about 29 - 34 after mods

The bike has 2,180 miles since new (bought 4/21/04). The Bike has averaged 46.9 MPG since new.

Slowpoke I've got 1300 miles and maybe avg. 30 at best. It must be in the right hand.
