here is the situation
raise stand - click to neutal- pull in clutch- flick to run
turn key to on and....
dash lights up, all led come and go off (except "N" light of course) dials do a test sweep but...

temp gauge climbs back to hot and clock window shows "CHECK"
hit the start button and motor turms over but fuel pump never primed or runs

HHHHEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPP please

i asked this on your other post of the same question.:
did you check the "kill" switch above the starter button?

If the answer is yes, then your fuel pump is probly dead, or the connection came loose.

How old is it?

Could be your connection to the fuel pump also. Raise the tank and check the connections. Then put your ear by the pump when you start the bike. No sound most likely the pump.

FUSES ARE GOOD
REPLACE THE KILL SWITCH
STILL NOTHING

WHY IS THE CHECK LIGHT NOT GOING OFF AND TEMP GUAGE READING HOT IS THAT NOT RELATED OR THE MAIN ISSUE

FUEL PUMP IS GOOD RUNS WITH DIRECT POWER

Did all the years of Busas' come with the "TIPOVER SWITCH"

Mine does its a 2000, it's under the TANK, and if it by chance comes loose from it's mouting point, or fails, it WILL NOT let the Fuel Pump Run.

WHAT is the Code #

?

?
**( to get code jump the dealer connector left side under tail section, "It is a White 2 prong plug" with 2 black wires, & connected to NOTHING)**

I have the manual, Give me Code, and I'll tell you what it says.

But I might wager some moolah on the "TOS", check it out.

Peace,
Busafied

good question... will an extremely high temperature reading NOT allow the bike to start.??

If the temp gague is reading all the way hot, the sensor is obviously faulty. Disconnect the temp sensor, turn the key on, and see what the gague says then.
