Help W/ B-king Ecu

Hi Guys,

Wondering if you might be kind enough to help me.

The ECU on a B-King that was "payment" for a favour, has gone and I'm in a situation.

Sent the original faulty ECU to a specialist ECU "magician" in Poland but to no avail, and am now in the unenviable position of waiting for a B-King ECU to become available on eBay, however, I was wondering if I could stick a Hayabusa ECU in there and it would still work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is a UK, 57-plate (2007 ) model.

It will run fine, and better, but the guages won't work.
You need the ecu flashed in Ecu Editor to fix that.
A Busa and a Bking ecu are physically the same, only the bin file is different.
Having your Bking ecu flashed as a Busa with the restrictions removed, as well as an airbox mod, really wakes up the Bking.

Thank you so much for your response.

Just one last question, would this be the same whether it is a US or a UK model?

Yes sir, and they are the same.
Just make sure you flash it for the country code that the bike came from.
So if you buy a US ecu, it must be flashed for your UK bike.
As UK bikes have ignition immobilizers, and US don't.
So if you flash a US bin file into a UK bike, you have a good chance of locking yourself out of it.
Many say it can't happen, but I have seen it happen personally on a gsxr750.
Ecu Editor Busa bin files default to the US, all other country codes must be selected.
A few years ago the gsxr files defaulted to the UK...and dummy me didn't pay attention.
I flashed a UK bin file into a US 750.
And, I bought him a new ecu.
His ecu would start 2 other 750s...but not his. Different ecu, and it fired right up.
Made no sense and no one could explain it, as technically it shouldn't happen.
But, it did, so just be careful.

Sorry, just seen your second response now. Thanks again for your efforts. Again, I really appreciate it.

We got both immobilized and non down here ,
Good to to know sixpack577.

Cantab, you DO have an ignition immobilizer?
And, didn't you say somewhere(please correct me if I'm wrong), that you DO have a U.S spec bike?
But you do have a non U.S color.
Suzuki must have thrown together what was left over and shipped them to New Zealand:rofl:

Im assuming mine hasnt got an immobilzer (doesnt have a wee light near keyhole?) like other NZ models.
My bikes speedo is MPH outside KPH inside, NZ KPH only.
Mines supposed to be blue/grey with white tail etc , chinese rubbish on atm.

But your right we do get left over all sorts of stuff dumped down here :p
We had a run of RF900s some with 180kph speedos and cut out, and some with full power and 280kph speedos :drama:
