anyone ever fitted one of these . after these are fitted what tuning do i need to do with these .

Search ECU editor and you will find tons of info on the site. They work great if you plan to mod the bike. If no mods planned for the bike, then no need for the editor.
 
what mods do you currently have on the bike? future plans? Another option is to ship your ECU to POWERHOUSE and for $60, Frank will "tweak" your ECU :thumbsup: while you're looking for a local tuner to do a proper dyno/tune on your bike.

hi i got the gp1 cans on and K/N FILTER i wish to unlock so i can get full power etc how can i get hold of frank mate have you a email addy for him . if i buy this unit could he set it up so i only need to fix to bike

thanks . i have emailed them to see what they can do for me if i send the ecu to them . if there is a bhp gain and the bikes not limmeted to 186 mph then i will go ahead get it done
 
It really isn't that hard to do yourself. The interface includes some instructional videos and lots of people are willing to help. The hardest part for me is getting the two jumper wires installed in the ecu harness.

I hope you will get a reply from Frank directly soon or perhaps he can also chime in here. Have you also tried to send him a private message here?

I AM NOT 100% SURE on price: he will unlock your ECU for $60 but this will NOT give you any HP gains. However, I am guessing that for an extra charge, he can/will flash your ECU with a new GENERIC/CANNED tune for your mods which help increase your HP/TQ...............highly doubt it will meet your expectations of passing 200 BHP.
 
well the bike standered has 197 bhp so if it cant gail a 10 bhp . i cant see the point it would be nice to get the bike de risticted though

hello thats fine still thinking about it here . might wait until our summer weathers past . only a couple of months left then i can send the ecu away to get tuned
 
I believe the factory rating is at the crank. Most people measure rear wheel. I doubt that you'll see significant hp gains from a tune on a stock bike.
 
with a bone stock bike, don't expect much other than de-restricting the 186 mph governor etc. mod the bike, and then tune it for the mods and see nice increases. my bike only made 356 hp with the stock ecu :)
