I would love to buy this bike,to give to my nephew. I have been his dad,his brother, his buddy since his pop(my brother) died when he was 17.

I need an expert, someone who owned one, worked on them, etc etc.

Huge gratitude will be bestowed upon the person who can correctly identify the bike.

Here's about all I can tell you. The pic was taken when I was 10-12,making the photo aprox. 35 years old. (I think)

I believe the bike to be an early-mid seventies Yamaha DT (perhaps) 175 or 250.

I thank you in advance for spending even 2 minutes on this.

Thanks...RSD.

Looks like all the DT models were built after 1974, replacing the CT series. From I can find the DT had different front fenders. Yours is definitely 71 to 73 vintage. I cant find a picture of one with that exact paint color.

Boom shacka lacka, its a 1972 Yamaha CT"2" 175. Same paint and everything.

Hold the phone, I was looking for the second pic you posted. The one in the first pic looks like a 1969 CT"1" 175 by the paint scheme on the tank.
