HELP!!!! Blowing a lot of Oil Filter Seals

This is old, I know...but my '02 also started doing this. For the time being, it seems the pressure relief valve was my problem. I had quite a bit of sludge build up in the pan also...

Apparently something changed when you blew everything out. On the oil filter. I always go hand tight. I'll have to see what they equates to the next oil change. But I've never needed a wrench or had a leak.

Could it just be that you are overtightnening the filter and smooshing rubber gasket?
I only spin mine 3/4 to 1 turn after contact.


Would that create his problem?

I have overtightened mine before and it has done it

Oh master Jedi is he. Force with this one is strong yes, but disturbance i see with his video training i do. Many will suffer tears & feelings hurt i fear.
