took busa to a shop 2nd gear problems they said they put new tranny in shift forks had rub marks on it. drove it home slow. next day pop out and in again. bring back 2weeks latter they say the chain and a short is whats wrong it will take 4 more hours to find what is wrong. what the f$%# help

It sounds to me that your problem is the shop is ripping you off. Your 2nd gear needs to be back cut.

^what he said. I have a genII but, from what I've always seen on this forum, genI bikes often need 2nd gear undercut to fix this problem. Run from that shop 'cause it sounds like they are just throwing random parts at it and wasting your time and money.

If they are a shop capable of doing the work have them do the work you have already payed for. Or take it to a repable shop ask them to photo the teardown and get your grand back from the first shop or see them in court.
