Helmet Upkeep

I typically wash my helmet after every ride with simple soap
and water~ I add a coat of wax to it when waxing the bike~
I also Windex the vizor, before every ride, inside and out~

I would like to know what you guys/gals do to keep your
helmet looking in top shape~ What, if anything, do you use
on the visor to deflect rain...should you get caught in it? For
those without the removable liner option, how do you keep
your liner clean and stink free?

For those that choose option "E".. I think you may be in the
wrong forum... but I can relate!

I CLEAN MY VISOR BEFORE I RIDE WITH WINDEX AND GENERALLY WIPE MY HELMET OF WITH SOAP ABOUT ONCE A MONTH OR IF IT IS DIRTY AND NEEDS TO BE CLEANED. HARDLY EVER WAX MY HELMET, BUT SINCE I JUST BOUGHT A NEW ONE I MIGHT START DOING THAT ONCE IN A WHILE.

HEY Gypsy, you gotta try some Plexus and some Micro-Fiber cloths.  Will make cleaning the exterior pain free, scratch free, and if it rains the water tends to just run right off.  

So yeah Plexus on the visor and shell usually before every ride, unless it's really crapped up, then after the ride as well.  Gotta keep that helmet shinning, I figure it's about the only thing on my bike that really stands out anyhoo...

I normally clean my helmet when I clean the bike.. normally after a ride unless it's dark, or i'm wore out... so.. hmm

I use Windex with a flannel cloth to clean it. The flannel is soft, so it never scratches the sheild. I do this after every ride.
