I want to thank everyone for the welcomes, I do respect this bike quite a bit and thankful I waited until i was 38 just turned 39 to get one,because if I had done this at 19 I more than likly wouldn't be here, I also have good people I ride with that don't ask be to go past my abilities. I just got my internet fixed, so im sorry I havn't responded to all of your threads. again thank you guys for the welcome and the advice, which was well taken.

congrats on the new bike and welcome to the board i can remember when i was 17 my first bike was the gsxr 1100 and i thought man now thats fast now 32 and riding the busa i find myself saying "NOW THIS IS REALLY FAST" ride safe and enjoy peace. :bounce:

welcome to the board!! I too am a first time rider and owner of an 01 busa. I would have bought a 600 but i got a smokin deal from a friend selling his and now i wouldnt have any other.
i am also only 128 pounds and need to be a little apprehensive when i am on the throttle. A great piece of advice is to take a course, even expierienced riders can learn a great deal.
