Helibars: little black thingy??

I just bought a used set of helibars. There is a small hole on both bars. On the left bar there is what looks like black plastic broke off in the hole. The right bar's hole is empty. I am guessing this came off from the light on/off assembly while it was being removed. Anybody know for sure? Before I drill it out to break up the plastic I just wanted to make sure.

Yes, the hole is there to locate the switch housing.

There is a pin inside of each switchgear housing to locate it on the bar and keep the switch housing from moving around on the bar. I will bet the "black plastic thingy" in your used helibars is a broken off pin from the previous owners switch housing. Poke out the plastic with a small screwdriver or pick so you can get your switch to mount properly.

That is what I figured, but I have not dissasembled the old housing to see what they look like. Thanks for the reply.
