heated hand grips which is better?

Does anybody have the heated handgrips? I have seen the two different types out there 1) the Deleuxe model which is the heated grips themselves and 2) you take your old grips off and tape on the heated coils onto your handle bars and put your old or news grip back on. Just curious who has them and do you like them?

I have the one's that go under your stock grips. I insulated the left hand side, like you're supposed, but they're not that hot. I haven't ridden with them yet, though.
