Heading to "The Gap"

I buddy and I are heading down to ride the Dragon this next weekend. First time for both of us. Anyways, I've been looking for a good place to stay for a few days. It appears that most of the places are over in Robbinsville. I open to any recommendations from you folks on good accommodations in the area. What do you recommend? Thanks!

I like it up in gatlinburg myself nice town. Ride little river road and and the foothills parkway and your ready for the dragon.

Fontana Village is nice if you want to be a little closer. They have lodging and camping. There is also Tapoco lodge nearby.
