Headgasket Question?

I have an rcc stage 1 kit coming and I was thinking about putting a stronger head gasket in and I was wondering if I would have to degree the cams if I replaced it?

Personaly i would use a spacer plate and head studs with a mls gasket

yes the cams need resetting if you raise the head, as it rocks the cams forward about 3 degrees

put stage 1 kit on my 06 last oct, ended up blowing head gskt, ( I get real throttle happy on my bike) I would recommend the cometic MLS head gskt and ARP head studs with nuts, the stock bolts will stretch when boost is applied, the cams will not need to be degreed unless you install base gskt spacer

do the cometic head gasket and the 080 base spacer and head studs degree cams and you will be golden! you won't have to worry and if down the road you want to turn up the boost "some" you don't have to get into the motor..........
