That’s what I’ve read as well.

A true, original slider will have to be towed back, it's based on engine speed and doesn't even have a clutch lever. A hand slider can be ridden back.

Yes you are right. I was told not to ride the bike back to the pits. I was told to have it kicked or towed. At Cayuga Dragway park I wrode it back in first gear and when I got to my Pit, it was just pissing out of the radiator overflow, I could have lost the motor
