Hand Grip Removal

Throttle side. After removing 2 srews on bottom of housing and loosening cables, how does the housing actually come apart? It looks to be 2 pieces, are they snapped together? Don't wanna force it. Not sure what i need to do.

It is 2 pieces, Gen I has 3 screws holding them together (2 on bottom and 1 inboard side of starter button). Grab the top half, remember there's wires attached so gently lift/pry it open toward the front of the bike. Once opened a little, disconnect the cables from the twist grip.
