I went out and did some cruising with some fellow busa riders today and I was in 2nd gear rev'd up about 8rpms let off and then cracked it to raise the front wheel...well when I let off for just a split second and cracked it she lost all power for about 2 secs then kicked in...what the !@#$ happened,,,any ideas...

A wire may have been pulled slighty from its connector or its has been slightly grazed and grounded out when you came down from your catwalk.  For starters you might want to recreate the situation that caused the probem by removing your front inners totally, and unbolt the  gauge cluster, but do not unplug it.  Pull the cluster from the mount just enough to where you can reach behind the cowl to jiggle the connectors and wires around with the bike running.
Also did you notice a F1 code when it cut off for the few seconds after the landing ?
