Gun Laws, what is coming at a national level?

For the people that say they will not give up there weapons, what are you going to do with it when it's illegal, you will not be able to shoot it, show people, it will just collect dust and always have to worry about it, what if someone breaks in when your gone and steals it, you can't report it stolen? It's illegal.

Things like that will make many turn them in for Walmart cards.

It's a good thing my mom buried mine.
I made a video the last time I was there with a friend.
I was only like 10 or 11?

The same thing I do with my cocaine. Sit in a locked bathroom thinking about how awesome I am.

I'm waiting for someone to point out that there were more murders committed with bare hands than with rifles and shotguns combined...oh wait, I just did.

Can I have your Busa after they arrest you and you need bail money? ;) :poke:

I really hope it doesn't come to this, I really do...those people who think a door-to-door collection of firearms aren't really thinking the whole thing through. Who would be tasked to do this, and how would it be performed. I dont think the government is interested in spawning a crop of new Waco style confrontations...sadly, I could be wrong.

I guess since the second amendment didn't mean anything the forth won't either. It would require an azz load of search warrants

What I haven't yet seen, which would scare me more, is a proposed tax hike on ammunition of those calibers. If the Federal government simply imposed a tax of $.40/rnd on these calibers, it would damn near kill everyone who buys ammo. Add to that a bill which makes manufacture of ammunition illegal without license, and its would be a fairly effective stranglehold. Still quietly waiting to hear someone out there talking about this happening.

That would make for an expensive training day for law enforcement

I think that folks would then just starting using other caliber weapons... The govt would always be ammo hopping looking for the latest "popular" ammo used to kill...

Military Style Weapons. No mention of caliber. I would say yes.

Read it and weep. All of it Here Are Obama's 23 Executive Actions on Gun Violence - Politics - The Atlantic Wire

Sounds like a door to door visit " GET MILITARY-STYLE ASSAULT WEAPONS AND HIGH-CAPACITYMAGAZINES OFF THE STREETS:
Several recent mass shootings involvedhigh-capacity ammunition magazines that were prohibited from 1994 to 2004.Many of the mass shooters used the type of semiautomatic rifles that were thetarget of the assault weapons ban. It is time for Congress to renew the 10-roundlimit on magazines, and reinstate and strengthen the assault weapons ban "

I'm gonna go home and bury my Pmags in a plastic bucket in my yard... That way once the ban is lifted I can dig them up, if the govt comes knocking they can look in my safe and find nothing but my family pictures...

 well you of all people should know better than to post this. Coming with a backhoe :poke:

From a police officers forum and a good question ask to them: Of Ordered, what would you do? American Police Officers: If ordered, would you confiscate firearms from law abiding citizens? : ProtectAndServe

Couple points.
One of it ever got to that point the guns would have been deemed illegal and cops may change their minds. It will only take a few public examples to dictate how the rest behave.
And two I don't us police or troops doing it, I see UN or foreign mercenaries having no problem doing it.
Some underpaid Russian ex military types will gladly accept your tax dollars from your govt to take your guns.

I feel like i'm watching history - the day we trashed the 2nd Amendment.

- Used children too young to have any informed opinion as tools...identical kids with identical letters could be used at NRA press conference to allow guns in schools..
- Executive Orders (23), no specifics on what they are.
- Proposing (thru Congressional legislation)
- Universal background check for all firearms sales including private. Didn't mention ammo. Suspect that data becomes government (and therefore public) information.
- AWB Ban (no specifics)
- 10-round mag limit.
- Wants them to confirm new ATF director (don't know him but suspect gun grabber)
- Continually invoking "It's all about our kids"...
- Brought parents of one of the murdered Newtown kids, put camera on to watch them publicly grieve (as a parent I grieve with them)

The shot has now been fired across the bow.
See my last post . I wasn't bothered by the 23, didn't really mean or say much. Read the rest of my post.

All I can say is bs. The criminals dont care what laws are passed. The criminals will be better equipped than the responsible gun owners.
Well, based on recent incidents they come in threes and come through the front door in a tight formation. ( legal ) sawed off double barrel with 00 Buck should take care of the problem.

Yep! After all the freaking out, what do we get? A bunch of well-worded nothing.

Oh I suspect there's some meat to it we just aren't being told what exactly it is. They sky isn't falling but thats not to say we should blindly accept it wont and this is the first real call that chicken little would be making. Dont forget the story, we should be mindful to at least stay aware of why folks say the sky is falling and measure its worth when presented with the facts.

A lot more

While I might have a problem with fellow American Citizens, shooting a Russian Ex-military type might be considered sport by some of us rednecks....

Well I'd like to stay and chit chat with you kind folks but there's a certain Italian Beretta with my name on it I must go pick up. What a perfect day to buy a gun

Yes it seems some pistol prices haven't skyrocketed yet like the Barbie Ars and I stole this thing!
Woooooooo Hoooooooo!

no it won't. if they can wipe away the 2nd with an executive order or 23, the 4th should only take one or 2 to evaporate :banghead:
