GSXR Wheel Conversion

Perhaps this issue has been addressed in the past, But I have been unsuccessful in finding it in the search.

What are the Pros and Cons of Converting a set of GSXR 1000 Wheels to work on the Hayabusa, does anyone offer a conversion set of wheel spacers, and are the GSXR wheels able to handle the torque of the Hayabusa, Has anyone done this conversion??? Were there any Problems??

Any information will be welcome and helpful in making a final decision. Thank you very much!

No Response??  I can't Believe that there is no information on this subject!

The next step is to Dimensionally Inspect the configuration of both wheels, GSXR vs Hayabusa, and determine the correct off-set and spacers required.  Seems like by now there should be an over the counter set of modified wheel spacers available, for a Plug-n-Play set-up, for installing a GSXR Rear Wheel on a Hayabusa.

The only reason this situation has come up, is that I have a Spare sets of GSXR Wheels, and want to mount them temporarily while I send the Busa Wheels out for Chrome.  Can't have any down time, summer is almost over! And "I Just Want To Ride" as long as possible.

Secondly, GSXR Wheels seem to be more plentiful, as far as availability, along with the weight savings, ease of cleaning (No center ridge), I believe they are a good candidate for a replacement wheel.  I do not believe there is any loss of strenth, if the GSXR Wheel can handle a 170HP 1000, I do not believe the it would be a major concern on the Hayabusa.  Thanks for letting me ramble on.

Looking forward to your earliest reply if anyone out there has any info on this subject.

I'm pretty sure the gixxer front will go right on with the busa spacers, the rear.....one of the spacers has to be milled 3-5 or maybe even 10 thousandths I think.Go over to psychobike and ask the question,it'll get answered quick.
