After I was done at the moutain which was totally awesome I went by Big Gar's place and he put heavier oil in my stock steering damper. Definately notice the difference. Used 20/50 oil.

Thanks bro... Gonna use the funds that I saved to get an undertail or a new rear shock. Not sure which yet.

OK, I did mine while I had the nose fairing off doing the clears. You can get to it while the nose is still on though.

1) Remove the lower black plastic fairing under the nose fairing.
2) Remove the bolts holding dampener (allen head and 12mm)
3) Remove torx screw from dampener (size ?)
4) Hold dampener over container with fill hole facing down and operate
the dampener back and forth. This will empty out the oil that
resembles water. Make sure it is empty.
5) Place dampener at an angle in vice with fill hole at top.
6) Using a syringe, fill dampener with oil while operating back and
forth....SLOWLY!!!! You don't want it to squirt everywhere.
7) Once all the air bubbles are out and reservoir is full, replace torx
screw and operate dampener to ensure there is constant tension
through entire range of motion.
8) Re-install dampener and panels.
9) Enjoy!

P.S. I would go with a shock, function over flare i always say, unless its a light or LED

That is my usual mode of operation. (Function over flare) Just bouncing it around. The shock is more important.
