GoldenChild's messing up

It was me that brought it here at the suggestion of another.

As I said...I feel that he should have gotten his money back in this situation and I would hope that these boards if for no other purpose would be made to help the other riders. When you step into the 'selling' biz....you become accountable. If you feel lota has no case..then fine....just say so. I still havent seen anybody say he was in the wrong??

If that's a banning thing around here nowdays...so be it I can live with that.

nah....its not a banning thing at all. Just not used to both barrels being launched at once around here.....now where the hell did my rum and coke go??? Geez...I need a smoke!!

I'd like to wait until I hear GC's side of things...

I've done business with him before...so I'd like to know what's happening. I've heard Lota's side....now we just need to wait for the other party to show up and defend himself.

heres the deal....

I am biased in my opinion since I know Goldenchild, and he is a good friend of mine.

but...

He does good business with everyone I know(I don't know you) , I did call him a lil bit ago. According to what I've heard and read, maybe you shoulda got the insurance.

was it a good windscreen to begin with? yes. I know the exact windscreen in question, and the bike it came off of was the nicest one around..

did Goldenchild ship it innapropriately? dunno, he said he got a brand new box at the usps store and used that box to ship the windscreen.

I'm nobody important, but I say chalk it up to a bad experience. I have them all the time.... at the grocery store(they know nothing about customers, in the drive-thru at Taco Bell(again, lots of advertisement and no customer service skills), I think you get my meaning.
There is a reason why Ebay and Paypal have areas where you can complain...... cuz it does happen. At least Goldenchild is man enough to say "well, sorry but no." instead of just ignoring you.

My advise: buy insurance on your next purchase. I do.

...It seems like a helluva fuss over beer money to me.....

I've got a good idea.

Why don't you sell one and make some $$ and then send it to Lota?

Of course you won't.  Do you know why?

'Cause it's not your responsibility.

It's golden child's responsibility and he's duckin' it.

Do you get it now?

It's about acting like a man instead of a punk thief.

Having spoken to Daniel, and reading Lota's posts, I see both sides. It seems to me that this is something that didn't require anybody else's input at all, these are both grown men. If Lota felt the need to bring this to this board's attention, I think it would have been better to do it alone. If GC wished to respond, he should have done so. I don't think it needs to get to the point it has on labusas, all that internet tough guy stuff is juvenile, but I see where you felt the need to back your boys play, CID. Let's try to keep it civil, and perhaps the two guys whose argument this is can reach some kind of resolution.

Look lady, why dont you go apply that bottle of Summer's Eve to your area of disturbance?...I am sure you will feel much better.

I'm sorry, did you think someone was talking to you?

Didn't mean to shake things up so much.

All I did was post it in the feedback area and also gave a heads up on another board. Ok, maybe a little more than that, oops. lol

I don't think I need to go on anymore about it.

Assuming that you mean Lota should have been paid on the claim, everyone, even GC agrees on this.

For the sake of argument we will agree on this, too.

Again we are on the same page.  It is understood that shipping and packaging is HIS responsibility and his alone.  Since only GC, Lota and the USPS saw and dealt with the package we have to take the USPS's word on this, but since they are writing the insurance checks here and seem to know a thing or two about packages let's listen to them.

Yes, this was a bad experience for GC's customer because of GC's mistake.
CG had no ill effects due to HIS OWN misconduct.

WRONG!  He did ignore this customer.
After USPS decided not to grant the claim and notified GC, he did not, in turn, notify HIS CUSTOMER!

And if GC were a man he would pony up the $$ that his negligence cost his customer. The fact that he refuses to do this speaks volumes about him.

In fact he told his customer that his "on his own" when the customer asked for a replacement or a refund for the damaged part.

This package DID have insurance on it.
Whether it was requested or not is immaterial.  It was applied to the package but was of no consequence because OF THE IMPROPER PACKAGING USED TO SHIP THE ITEM.
Again, this is GC's problem, not the customers, and he refuses to take responsibility.

Now YOU tell ME if you good friend acted properly in this case.
