GoldenChild's messing up

so far, all ive seen is a bunch of trash talking.

instead of coming here to keep stirring the pot, how about stating facts?

1) who bought what from goldenchild,
2) what was the problem,
3) has it been resolved?

Short version.

I bought a windscreen from him, it arrived damaged due to poor packaging. I went to the post office to make a claim. They denied it due to poor packaging.

GC told me that I was on my own and there was nothing he could do for me.

The claim was denied back in April and he never notified me. I've been sitting around waiting for the usps to send me a refund and decided to chase it down.

I told him about it and he say's I'm on my own, SOL.

You make the call.

His response to the problem:

First off,You brought a good codition used windscreen.I packaged this screen same as any other, and have never had a problem before.I insured the box for you anyways, even though (you) wanted no insurance on the box cause you wanted to keep cost low.I insured it for I think $75 which is what it was worth.Who told them you didn't pay $75 for it?I shipped it to you and you said it was damaged, did you go to usps that day or within a week?If you didn't of course they will deny it,you had ample time to get it back to them .Did you say anything to the postmaster that delivered it?Did you take just the screen down to usps or all packaging and the box? These are questions you ave to ask yourself, did i go to the usps people half cocked or did i go there with a professional attitude?Don't come on here trying to make me look like I'm some bad guy cause I'm not,If there was never any insurace put on the Item like you said Who would you blame???
Point #1
quote="GoldenChild"...I insured the box...
Point #2
quote="GoldenChild"...I shipped it to you and you said it was damaged..
Point #3
Your customer filed a legitimate claim with the USPS.

Point #4
Your customers claim was denied because of YOUR NEGLIGENCE with regard to packaging.  This isn't conjecture, it is FACT straight form the USPS themselves.

Point #5
You refuse to make good on your mistake that cost your customer all that he spent on the deal... including shipping.

Now, what was that question you were so smug about asking in you post golden child?

Oh yeah, Who's fault is it?

YOURS!

Yours and yours alone.  I and all other friends of your customer are going to spread this truth all over the net until you refund his money.

Forget negative feedback, buddy.  That #### is passive.  I'm talking about an active campaign of letting the truth of this botched sale ride the wind.

I wonder how that's gonna work out for ya'.

well, I can see that no matter what he does, Lotta Fun R, you will still be bitter and continue to tell people to not buy from Goldenchild.

I know about 20 busa owners that would send you a stock windscreen for free, so tell me, do you need one still?

If you say "NO, I just want my money back", if you get your money back then what? go on all the boards and say what a great guy he is for refunding your money?

Is this the only time you've ever had a deal go bad? Did you make this much effort to inform everyone else about that too, or are we catching the fallout from something else entirely here?
It seems like a helluva fuss over beer money to me.....

Bitter? I'm not bitter or was ever pissed about the way it went down until he refused to make good on it.

I traded a double bubble for a stock one a while back and don't need another one.

I've allready been offered two stock windscreens for free, that's not the issue. And thanks to those that offered.

I just think it was raw deal and stated that in the feedback area on shorg.

dude...I'll send you another perfect stock screen just to help keep the peace. I'll even pay shipping...that way you could maybe sell it and make up some of the cash you lost.

NO, people don't rip me off all the time. And I'm not ok with it.

He had every chance in the world to make it right and he didn't.

That's all.
