I just finished installing a 3/4 riser on my K8. I was checking my install and discovered that the front bolts aren't long enough to engage the insert in the nylok nuts. I removed the nuts and was forced to remove the flat washers to gain a little more bite into the nut. I used locktite and reassembled. I'm not happy with this arrangement. This places the nut up against the plastic(?) and could cause cracking. I don't know if the kit was mispackaged or not. I have contacted GenMar and requested some longer bolts. I hope people have not overlooked this because if they are all this way it has a real possiblity of coming loose and the outcome would not be pretty.

Yup noticed that myself, was going to re-do but forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder. Maybe I'll check the nuts again. If they come through with longer bolts let us know...
