my transmission of my bike need to be fix. So I was thinking to under cut or just get a GEN II. My bike is 2004 I just used it for drag race. Any information???

My friend did it and they had to make a .001 spacer for it to fit right.
I'm just going by what they had to do.

I think I will just cut my gear that will be easier and use the money for the engine parts but I was thinking the gen II tranny is different....thanks guys

Gen 1 works better for drag racing.

Less dogs mean easier engagement. Many of the Pro-Street ikes that I've seen, have two dogs machined off each gear and run only two dogs per gear.

They never miss a shift and thats why, its a huge window to hit that way.

It is called a pro-cut undercutting. It is where you remove half the engagment dogs for easier engagement. Heres some before and after pics of a Hayabusa trans that had the pro-cut done on it.
