Generation1 to 08 parts swap

Some say that the swingarms are interchangeable and some say they are not. Does anybody know for sure? Curious if my 240 swingarm off my 05 can be swapped to a new 08 bike. Dealer told me they believed it would but I would need to use my brake system and all my parts from my bike tire kit on the new 08 because the brakes mount different.

All I know is both bikes use the same frame. So it would make sense to me that the swingarm would fit.. assuming there's no clearance issues.
