Gen1 Bike shuts off on the highway

Hello Group,
I have a 2001 Gen1, K&N air filter, Tri Mod and D&D slip on's.

Riding on the Highway 85-95 mph crusing with a group the bike will shut off, grabbing the clutch and hitting the starter a few time the bike fires back up. This happen three times on a 50 mile run in the country.

any thoughts

How old is the battery? check voltage, stator, rectifier for possible issues. See if can pull any codes and post here.

I would check fuel lines first and foremost. They probably need replacing.

Bypass the kickstand switch 1st. Just had the same problem.

Kickstand / side stand interlock. There's a tab on the stand that can be bent and weak stand springs can cause this.

^^^^ yup, I was thinking kickstand switch too.

it sounds like a good place to start.

This is what mine looked like after I opened and cleaned the side stand switch, lots of grease and grime, I think from the chain and it ruins the internal contacts.

I also run a dry lube for the same reason. Dupont chain lube with teflon.

so i was riding around 80 mph just cruising and the bike shuts off, it started back up about 5 seconds later. happened twice on a short 15 mile highway drive. any ideas?
