Just wondering if anyone with a Gen II and stock wheel base dropped 2 on the front sprocket for a 16/43 set up and if so how well did it work at the track, thanks.
That's a big change...most guys are going +2 or +3 on the rear.
If you want that much...I would recommend not going with a 16 front on a Gen2...it puts too much stress on the chain, and with the extra tq and hp it will wear out the front sprocket quicker. I would try 17/46 first...its almost the same gear ratio as 16/43. Posted via Mobile Device
not to thread jack but i was wondering the samething?? is there really room for improvment over stock? and say i went with +3 up on the rear and left the front stock would it hurt the top speed??or help it get there??

Just FYI I did the 16 on front and left the stock 43 on rear as this way I was able to stretch the wheel base a bit. At the track I was 3/10 quick and picked up 3 mph.
