Gen I Counterbalancer

Ok, so I'm building another motor for my Gen I Busa full chassis bar bike. After seeking opinions about counterbalancer removal and crank lightening, I got so many different opinions I'm just gonna leave the crank stock. It's a 1397cc, with a ported head, .378 crank and MTC Gen II clutch. This motor had some parts removed but came with a bunch in boxes so I've dug out a counterbalancer,

This is what I need to know.
Do I need to align the counterbalancer to a certain position with the crank or anything? Or do I just set it in?
