Gen 2 hump mod

Hey guys, I know that the gen 1 hump can be modded so the grab rail fits with it on but can the gen 2 be modded as well? I just got a $45.00 hump from China and was looking at cutting off the area so the grab rail will fit and it doesn't look like there's room for it. Any advice before I start hacking?

yes it can be done . 2nd trim a little at a time , and test fit often as I took more than needed off the hump .

Easy to put on rear stand . it blends in when they are not CHROME

Yes, both the hump and pan need trimming. C10s pictures show what needs to be done.

Clean! My next project, when I get the proper tools. There's no where to grab on my Gen2 like the Gen1.

I got ready to put it on the stand today and it was more trouble than what's it worth to steady it, plus my wife just asked if it was on since we are about to ride!

Her first ride!

It surely is a challenge...I have it down to a science now. I put the side stand on a block of wood to bring the bike up a little then slip the stand in and once it's engaged, all is good.

I use the paddle attachments on my rear stands for day to day use...If I am changing out the rear tire, I'll use the hooks and engage the rear stand hangers.
