Gen 2 fuel pump on Gen1

Will a gen 2 fuel pump work on a 2005 gen1 as I need a pump and gen 2 pumps seem cheaper
And obviously newer

PM Goldenchild.... he may have a Gen1 fuel pump for a good price. He always seems 2 have or is able 2 get what U need 4 the right price

Put a Bosch fuel pump in the tank. Abosut $110.00 from Rock Auto. Takes about an hour. It is easier on a Gen I then II. the Power Point looking thing is for a Gen I.

That's the pump I have in my Gen1 along with a set of S2000 injectors

The used gen1s are more problematic with bad filters aka the big plastic turd that the fuel pump mounts in. Mainly due to the age and miles. The used gen2s are of course newer and usually lower miles. That black plastic turd filter on the gen1 is over $250.
